Brunch in Quito is bigger than ever. So let us guide you to the best spots in town for a kick-ass weekend brunch, from buffet bottomless brunches to traditional Ecuadorian options and even boozy feasts, you can start off your weekend in style.
Casa de Rafa’s rustic house next to Pachamama School isn’t an obvious spot for many, but definitely one of the best. You have an amazing buffet that includes nutella, bircher muesli, perfectly cooked eggs, great coffee and much much more! It is surrounded by nature and an amazing view, plus it’s great for families and had an area for kids.
For a boozy option, Zinc is your place! Not only do they have an incredible cocktail bar that includes Bloody Mary’s, mimosas and micheladas, but also the food is perfection. They have a Mexican-influenced menu combined with brunch staples, like pancakes, French toasts and more.
Superfoods is my favourite place. They prove that food can be both delicious and nutritious. Their brunch menu is always changing; there are always vegan options and you feel amazing after all their food. Their options include acai bowls, bread with almond butter, avocado and crispy chickpeas sandwich, etc.
If you are going with a varied group, or can eat forever, go to the Marriott hotel. They have a section for children (they can get their faces painted). You can eat by the pool or sit inside with live music. Food-wise, they have from sushi to paella, smoothies, desserts and even a BBQ!
Last but not least Laboratorio. This restaurant has chef residencies, each one bringing their own menu and style, always serving brunch. For the next three months, the concept is Mantarraya, food from Esmeraldas and Manabi with a twist. You can get a bolon (green plantain) with a Portobello paste to die for!
